I'll be honest, part of me is a bit... unnerved by the amount of attention this post has gotten but, at the same time, I knowingly put this out on the web and I do believe its an important lesson to get out (not just for my own situation but for online communities in general)

I knew stuff was gone wrong but I've been pretty out of touch lately. I did a raid a few weeks ago and the impression I got was that my presence was a threat to a petty tyrant rather than someone who could help make a do... the doing seemed unimportant, control was paramount.

Sorry that this happened :( Leaving a guild is hard, but when logging in feels like a burden, and being around the people who once made the game fun is hard, you have to put yourself first. You'll find another guild for sure, one who appreciates you and communicates well

I truly hope this hasn't soured the concept of raiding for you though, not all guilds who choose to go higher difficulty have these problems. :(
