6. People change (This is such a huge one and I'm still trying to get better at adhering to this; some of my best friends today are folks who initially I'd been put off by)
7. No one actually knows what they're doing, people just have varying levels of success at faking it
8. You've never "made it". If it's something you truly love, you have to keep working on it until you can't anymore
9. Have a shortlist of interesting pieces of trivia. They make for great conversation starters, and you'll find yourself learning stuff in the oddest of places as you collect tidbits
11. Don't get pizza at a seafood place... trust me on this
12. Jacks of all trades are indispensable, and also completely underappreciated
14. Confidence is the most valuable attribute. You don't even need to be particularly strong in an area, but if you give off the aura that you've got everything under control, people will believe you and look up to you
15. Listen to music all the time! Find an album or an artist or a collection of songs that you like and play them whenever you can
16. Lists. Lists are a godsend. Whenever you have stuff to do, physically write it out in a to-do list, your future self will thank you
17. A lot of perceived rudeness is actually born of ignorance; sometimes people just don't realize the impact of their actions
18. Despite what we're told, being too far out of the norm is not considered cool by the vast majority of people; be yourself regardless
20. Recognize that not everyone who says they'll support you actually will
21. On the flip side of the same coin, recognize that some of your staunchest supporters won't always be right in front of you, and some you'll never know
