I'd argue this is... Worse. I don't want to spoil it, and it's glossed over a bit. This period of lit was full of stories where characters just had a litany of horrible stuff happen to them in order to prove a moral subtextual point. Blaaaah.
Woooooonderful. Luckily, my teacher is the bomb dot com so maybe he'll be able to make the experience a bit better? I will report back once I've started it!
