I think everyone is thinking what you wrote, People like the idea of classic servers that it will somehow bring back the experience of when they first started playing , but it will not and I reckon it is a waste of Blizzards time which could be spent somewhere else

It all comes back to nostalgia I think. As a friend of mine once aptly put, you might miss your high school days, but walking around the halls of the school decades later will never feel the same. It's the people and the experience you miss, not the medium
