Tried to ignore it for about 2hrs but ended up taking (previously unused) hardcore meds. Pain is numbed now but I'm dizzy, nauseated, & weak

Pain can take a long time to fade, and it took me 3-4 weeks to be able to fully open my mouth. Give yourself time <3

btw I was an exception, the dentist never heard of someone who took that long to completely recover.

What worked fine for me to numb the pain was a regular, lukewarm infusion of clove to use as a mouthwash. Chewing on cloves was impossible.

I might try that next. Pain meds were pretty much out of desperation but these side effects are worse than the initial discomfort

Can't you ask for another kind of meds? Painkillers are useful but not if they make you sick.

I probably could but it sounds like all meds powerful enough to stop the pain also cause some level of nausea. Ibuprofen it is!

Thanks! And yeah, I have a growing list of foods that I'm going to wolf down once I can eat normally again :P
