So I'm out of surgery and awake!! ...this is miserable. I can't talk because numb+gauze and my mouth won't stop bleeding

It's normal, I had mine removed a few years ago, also in one go. Did you get general anesthetic?
According to my dad, yes. I was out for the whole process so I honestly don't know

Haha XD You don't remember anything like an injection or a gas mask?! Heck I'd like to forget the injection myself *shivers*

I was awake for the IV part and the oxygen mask but not long after that :P
