As a newly geared max level char often doing dungeons is relativly safe, going into BGs you become canon fodder.
I feel ya! Do you think this is specifically because of the newly-maxed part or something else?

I think it sucks to join a BG only to get killed 30 times, while joining a dungeon and getting carried is easy

There is a bit of a rewards imbalance between being corpse camped and getting dungeon loot, for sure :P
