My music theory homework took me three rage-filled hours. Luckily, my night class got canceled right after I finished but I am still not a happy camper about that massive time dump

I don’t miss theory. Especially the early stuff when there’s too many rules. Don’t do parallel fifths Zulli....don’t use a neighbour skip after a passing tone. Uggghhhh!!!
I’m so used to doing things by ear that learning the actual notation and rules is *destroying me*

I’m the exact opposite! I loved my theory classes, mostly cuz my professors were weird and odd and made it so fun. Counterpoint and Orchestration were my favs

I think my professors is what’s driving me to dislike the subject - they’re pretty bad both at explaining things and making them seem interesting in any way
