I don’t miss theory. Especially the early stuff when there’s too many rules. Don’t do parallel fifths Zulli....don’t use a neighbour skip after a passing tone. Uggghhhh!!!

Reductive Analysis was my favorite music theory class. Mostly because the professor was brilliant and made the topic really accessible. Species Counterpoint on the other hand can go take a flying leap.

We’re getting to species counterpoint now, I’m super excited! (/sarcasm) I think you hit the head of the nail there though, my professor is really rather terrible so the class isn’t accessible or interesting at all
