So at my job, there’s a lot of women who don’t really speak much English because they’re recent immigrants. They’re actively practicing and picking it up (and learning a whole new language waaaaay faster than I could!) /2

Today, an incredibly sweet woman by the name of Maria, was trying to ask me for a word. She kept tapping at her forehead and then gesturing towards mine but when I translated that word into English, her face would wrinkle up slightly. Forehead wasn’t the word she wanted. /4

Then suddenly it dawned on me. “Oh, you mean pimples? Acne?” “Yes yes yes! Acne! Thank you!” Guess it’s time to kick my skin care up a notch, haha 5/5
