It's a tough medium to get attention on - due to the algorithms. And honestly unless someone checks Twitter constantly they'll miss posts by friends.
But I can't deny that it's had a noticeable impact on my motivation to create art which is definitively Not Good. I recognize that this is a really trivial thing to get hung up on, but it bothers me when I can't get more than 10 likes on a piece that, I thought, I'd done well

That is true, I suppose the word I was probably more looking for was superficial perhaps? It's always seemed like such a vain thing to be concerned with but here I am, being increasingly concerned with it
