(I'm honestly fascinated by this whole thing because, on one hand, *everyone* I know, even folks in real life, are talking about IHOb and the change but, on the other hand, other corporations have been very solidly roasting it all day long)

It is a temporary thing to help boost their lunch and dinner business. It is silly but may still be effective. Pizza Hut did something similar a few years ago ("Pasta Hut") and it apparently worked.

Huh, I had no idea Pizza Hut did that! But I do know IHOP has been struggling, so maybe this is their last ditch attempt?
