yeah, back up files, then I'd start by just doing a full uninstall of the drivers and rebooting into regular windows and then do a clean install of the current driver again and see if the problem reappears. I'm guessing something corrupted during install

I just installed another Nvidia update today (version 398.11) without issue. So probably just an install that went bad.
