I can’t stop thinking about it. We should be working to protect our kids. Our voice is our vote. We can vote people in and we can vote people out.

Both my brothers graduated from this high school within the past 10 years. Military rifles posessed by civilians is not protecting the 2nd Amendment! How about protecting against sensless mass murder?! Do something already!

The answer is in helping those who are a part of the mental health crisis this country continues to ignore.
-
No , the easy availability of guns is the problem
-
I own a gun and have a Conceal & Carry license. Does that make me a would-be school shooter? Absolutely not.
-
That's not the point though, is it? The fact that it's easier to get a gun than treatment if you have mental health problems is the point. Or that background checks aren't done.
-
And even worse, its becoming increasingly easier for weapons 2 get into the wrong hands thx 2 the bill passed last year. I’m not going to try to convince heartless, illogical people of what the smart thing to do is, & instead focus my efforts on much needed change.

And the silence from the White House is deafening.

-
I know this isn’t our country but it’s heart breaking that no action gets taken
-
It sure is heartbreaking. I am sick of seeing this happen over and over again. I may not be American but I am human.

The answer is beyond simple. Just do what Britain did after Dunblane, or maybe Australia’s national firearms agreement is something you might like the look of. Catch up America, how many is too many school shootings? The rest of the civilised world is speechless.

my mom showed me videos that students took. After that she was sitting in her chair crying silently while i was curled up in a ball on the ground crying for 15 minutes. Then i just stared at the wall for another hour.
-
I'm just gonna say this. Facebook had to put a warning on the videos that the videos had gore in them. I'm 14. Ik these things go on I'm our world. That's what scares me. I don't exactly live in the best town. Tbh there's a lot of drug addicts here.
-
You never know. What if someone was high and decided to a school with a gun. Or some students brings a gun to school. There's 2 junior highs in my school district (well more but i really only know the two main ones, washington and wilson).
-
I go to Washington. Thank god. last year when i was in 7th grade a student in the same grade as me brought a gun to school there. Luckily another student heard him saying he had a gun and reported him but, imagine if no one knew he had a gun.
-
What if he would have used it? What if what happened in Florida this week happened at that school across town. That kid could have seriously hurt innocent people. The kid in Florida could have hurt more if it wasn't for certain individuals acts of bravery.
-
They didn't deserve to die. They were good people. Those kids were in 9th grade. Its hard to think that they were only a year, not even, older than me and... Their lives were taken from them.
-
And what about the other students. And the family's. No one deserves this pain and suffering. I think what I'm scared of the most is seeing people i know being hurt. Or dying myself. I'm not scared of dying for the same reason most people are.
-
I'm not afraid to die because of knowing we only have one life. I'm afraid to die because i don't wanna put my friends and family through all that pain.
