Literally anyone but him deserved it. All the others sang about real human struggles that inspired millions. He just sang about some random castle on a hill. Gaga or Kesha deserved it but of course it went to the only straight white guy.

I have more likes than you so I guess more people agree with me but keep on stanning that ugly trash while strong powerful women continue to inspire millions and stand up while the straight white guy gets the credit. I’m not saying he’s a bad person, I’m saying...

Why is everyone saying he didn't deserve it?!?!?! He got. Get over it. It's over. He got the most votes and apparently he got more votes. OMG I can't believe it! Get over it

I'd rather one of the amazing women have won it than the lone man using his lyrics to exploit women's bodies. Good going, Grammys.

Yeah... he’s the only artist that sings about bodies.

You'd think the academy would take this time to support Kesha, who wrote a song with far more character and merit than ed sheerans "I met a girl at a bar, I want to fuck her, lol" song.
-
Honestly, I don’t count on the academy to support anything that doesn’t serve them in some way.

I would assume record sales played into a lot of votes as well. It’s surprising they didn’t take the PC route but you can’t award someone because they have a good story. He spent longer time in the charts and higher position than she did. Love her but numbers talk
-
True, I know more goes into the decision. I just found it disappointing all around--but at least they gave the stage to great performances by some of the women.
-
Except that's not "PC," it's just timely. Maybe I hold music awards to the standard I hold the Oscars, where the story and its execution are the merit, not the ticket sales, which is what makes sense to me. Sales don't *inherently* indicate quality, just popularity
