No it does not but when you acknowledge it you show compassion to others is what my friends of color tell me to pass on

There's no fault involved. POC just want us to acknowledge our privilege and pay attention to inequality. Be an ally, support change.

He should have asked: if you read a book (not homework) in the last 2 weeks take a step forward. If you volunteer, take a step forward.

The point was to ask questions about things the students benefited from without making any personal effort.

not necessarily. some (most) private schools have way higher graduation rates and higher % of kids get scholarships.

often times parent seek private education because the public education in the area is so poor. I was accepted into a prvt school in 1st

This type of realization was what me change. I grew up poor, pregnant at 15 but because of white privilege I could overcome.
