So he would rather give up the dream at the “top of his vision board” than apologize? Bigotry is stronger than ambition in this one. Ellen really missed the mark this time.
-
Man you really didn't listen to what he said. He did apologize... again and then stepped down. There is no bigotry here at all. Not sure you know what that means if you think he is being a bigot.
-
He had never apologized until after stepping down despite what he keeps saying.https://www.vulture.com/amp/2019/01/kevin-hart-homophobic-tweets-apologies-ellen-degeneres.html …

Never apologize to liberals for facts or jokes that hurt their little feelings. Laugh at them even harder instead.
-
You guys are currently having a meltdown over a video of a politician dancing.

How about believing in freedom of speech and not ruining someone’s life when their jokes hurt your feelings instead?
-
Ohhh...so does that mean she will give
@realDonaldTrump a 2nd chance....oh wait he never got the 1st chance did he? Forgot the hypocrisy level is real in those Hollywood Hills!

I do to, but he really doesn't sound sincere and he didn't all those years ago either. Great interview, but when he tried to play the victim, he lost my support. I applaud you for trying, but this just made things worse. At this point the
#Oscars would b better off with no host. -
Honestly, how can you gauge if someone “sounds” sincere? Kind of seems like a personal bias to me. But hey you’re entitled to your opinion
-
Even though he said he's apologizing once again, his point in this video was more towards his irritation towards people's oversensitivity rather than showing emphaty towards people who actually experience homophobia. I'm still cool with Hart but he's more mad here than sorry.
-
I'd be more mad here too if the entire world had their eyes on you in a negative way. Sincere or not, you can only apologize enough before it just simply gets annoying to do so. If you're familiar with outrage culture you should know it's near impossible to apologize.
-
I'm not disagreeing with you by the way, just so we're clear. Just saying when social media takes to anyone like this, you can either: 1) Apologize and try to move on, which people will say you don't care. 2) Don't apologize and get dragged until it blows over or
-
3) Create such a perfect apology with the perfect amount of emotion and nuance that people call it staged or pathetic that he'd go so far to please. There's no win-win. Best thing is to just apologize like any normal person and let them decide if they want to stay angry.

Nah Ellen this isn’t the one. 10 years is no time at all and all he had to do is apologise not keep digging in. Nobody got time for this.

-
He did apologize actually
-
Yup, he did. People can grow a lot over ten years too. I think he resented the ultimatum too but that’s just my opinion. I know I’d resent it if I apologized several times already.
-
People complaining about its tone, sincerity, length of time etc... just what are these people’s interpretation of an apology
