Of course, there is also the "child bonus", which comes from having raised them.

WTH kind of language is this? A penalty? Babies are the best gift God gives. Not everything revolves around money. That colorful scribble for a Mother’s Day card means far more than (yes, I’m serious) billions. Jesus Christ.

How do you measure snuggles? Can we put a dollar on it? How about when they bring home straight As? Or when you hear from some other adult they interact with how well they share, etc. How do we measure all that? Smh. Idu.

And still in many societies, children support their parents financially and pay their health bills when parents grow old. Huge financial benefits. Its the best lifetime investment. Having ur kids and grandkids around you when u r sick,.....impossible to measure

The most joy I have felt in this world is from parenthood. Hands down. “The world is built in a pattern of self replication” To not have a child is to not fully participate in this world.

Children aren't a penalty. What kind of person thinks having children is less important than lifetime earnings? You can't blame men for the non-existent wage gap so now you are making children the enemy.
