Just a friendly reminder that even after YouTube abbreviates public subscriber counts (https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/6543166 …), your own sub count will not be abbreviated. You can still stream your channel crossing a milestone for example. And track your own precise sub count over time.

But the API will become useless, I use the API for my bench sub counter... at least keep the API with live count!

We're under the impression that authenticated API access will still give exact sub counts. So if you can make an authenticated API call for your own channel, it will be exact.

I hope that is the case, when I watched creator insider it was stated the API would also be part of the change and have truncated counts.
