On this 4th of July we acknowledge the gap between our nation’s ideals and the racism that pervades our criminal legal system. While we create new polices, expand language access, and end the death penalty in San Francisco, we continue to fight for our ideals.
I suggest the people of San Francisco would like to be fighting for their ideals but they are instead fighting for their lives. Perhaps John Carpenter can make a further sequel called "Escape from San Francisco" but it won't have to be set in the future, it can be a documentary.
