okay listen: is it the end of the world to lose partner? No. But is the timing just the worst? Yes. We all have so many things on our plate right now, and I honestly felt so annoyed reading the email, like... on top of everything else RIGHT NOW?? Read the room, Discord, please.

yes I mean the good part is they will now open the applications for that again. But I feel like instead of purging people they should rather find a way to scale it better? This just seems a lazy approach in my books. Quantitative metrics don't automatically relate to quality
I mean, you can read right there that the metrics aren't growth based, but just making sure it's active.
Audience retention is also growth.
first discord went corporate and now this, for some reason i'm not surprised unfortunately. i kinda regret making my server sub only now.
yeah I had the same thought, it's surely a corporate thing. I'm just not interested in a "partnership" that requires me to proof my worth over and over again
Same, can you imagine if twitch went this route as well and you could lose your partnership, I think its really unfair that Discord are doing this, I don't have a large enough Discord to maintain partnership, but I really want to keep mine :(
it seriously sucks. I'm honestly so glad Twitch doesn't do this. Youtube did the same which seriously sucked, but at least it was a one time verfication. This continous eligibility checking is seriously not worth my mental health
What are the partnership-exclusive features that people are going to miss if their partnership is revoked? I know there's a custom splash page & custom URL & they say you get better quality voice calls which is nice if you use your server for co-op streams but other than that...?
I mean yes, I definitely agree!! At the end of the day, we will still use it for our communities and have fun. But it does sting me a bit that they decided to just throw out everyone who isn't "good enough" anymore, in terms of quantitative metrics at least. It just feels shitty
