Because most people have a 7th grade reading level. Long complicated tweets with big words take effort to read. Short honest tweets hit them on the emotional side of the brain and don’t fizzle out from reading a long message after the initial hit. That creates easy dopamine.

A log tweet only goes viral if it hits emotionally first and then builds to a crescendo at the end, all while relying on simple words and phrasing that doesn’t activate the logical brain and slow down the emotional impact.
