This should be obvious, but if you want people to take you seriously online, then use your real name and a real photo of yourself. Don't tell me you're trying to 'grow your personal brand' if you're hiding behind an animal or cartoon avatar. You can't be serious lol.

From 2014 to 2015 I was behind my business' Twitter account and talked exactly as I was a human being, just with a logo instead of a face and also anon. It felt weird at first, but a couple months in the interactions were exactly like that: human, warm, friendly.
