The broken American family system is designed to launch 18 yo kids into poverty to pay bills to a landlord or bank owner for the rest of their life But 40 acres of rural land will get you a lot of houses for extended family plus livestock areas and a village square Just saying

My dad got laid off late Oct but it was OK because we would help if needed. He got a job working remote thankfully the duplex is over 3000+ sq ft with a shop, storage shed, parking, a pond. 4 car carport and work area. It's nice. We are recovering from a bathtub floodpic.twitter.com/prtLZEdMnX

Also my husband leaves for work 5 days a week as a flatbed driver and I recruit truck drivers remotely so someone is always home with our puppy. My mom runs a successful upholstery shop in a shop on the property. No commute or rent

People have made comments especially my aunt like we don't have our lives together because we live in their duplex. We pay rent. We all work together on the property. We make great money
