How do I regain honor that is lost? How do I live an honorable life?

What would a man have to do to earn back your respect? For most, it’s taking one concrete step that costs him something. That step earns back honor and respect. Followed by another step. More honor. And each step after that builds it. All begins with one step. One decision.

Honor happens every day in every decision. When you fail, then you decide to fix it, you regain your honor.

As for learning how to live with honor in the first place: Honor is by definition upholding one’s principles even above one’s own life. Never surrendering them. You must know your principles. And you must hold to them when they cost you. The dearer the cost, the greater honor.

Your principles are the ideals you are most ashamed of people saying you don’t have. Honor. Courage. Integrity. Compassion. Whatever twists in your heart to know you’ve failed to uphold it, that you sacrificed that principle for more money or so someone wouldn’t be mad.

Find your principles. When you must choose, any choice at all in life, consider your principles. Ask which choice aligns with them. Then do it. Even if it costs you everything If you fall short, when you realize it, make it right. Even if it costs you everything This is honor.

And when you think that you fell so deep that is no more hope? That you can no longer get out of the hole where you are. Most of the time, i dont have hope anymore. Thank you for your response.

That’s when it matters most. This world wants you crawling in the gutter, licking up poisoned water, with no knowledge that you can stand up again. You can. I did. Others did. You absolutely can. One step. Find your principles. Find brothers with principles. Live your honor.

Even with a broken sword? That haunt me more than anything. That no woman will love me or bear my children.

I get asked variations of that question more often than you can imagine. Honor is all. No matter the religious creed. And honor can be regained no matter what.

I am catholic. Some things can never be regained, but thank you dearly.

I am also Catholic. The only unforgivable sin is to blaspheme against the Holy Soirit which is defined as believing it’s impossible for God to save and redeem you. The moment you stop believing that and give confession and receive communion you are freed. Go to confession.
