Wonder how a YouTube channel called SHOULD I BUY IT? would do by showcasing new games like they used to in old games magazines and giving a suggestion on the types of audiences who will love it. Sort of a video version of Amazon’s “If you loved X....”

Direct buy-in for publishers there if you could build the SIBI brand into a trustworthy recommendation source for people looking for “More like X”

Would help newer gamers too who play a handful of one genre but don’t know how to distinguish new games exactly in that genre. Like Netflix’s “what to watch next”. I look for this when I finish a game I like and want more just like it. “What’s similar?”

You’d corner the market on games recommendations. That’s not something anyone really does well that I’ve ever run across. Become KNOWN for pairing gamers with the genres they love. Make that your THING. Publishers would ADORE you.

We're hoping to start building this kind of thing once we roll our game database out. Every game from every console generation plus users being able to "add" games to their "library" to help keep track of what they own + what they want. Comprehensive enthusiast coverage to match

Sure. But don’t just make that a FEATURE. MAKE THAT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. Makes games pairing and finding your next game the MEAT of it. “WHAT TO PLAY NEXT”

Also the goal of the site has always been to cut through the chaff and get to truly fun and interesting games. All of the news and reviews reflect that. All hand curated by real gamers. I want to triple down on it and make it a hub like you said

Reviews are cool. I don’t want to slog though ten lengthy reviews to find one game when I only get 45 minutes twice a week to play.

“That was fun. I want more like it.” Log into WHAT SHOULD I PLAY NEXT . COM Site saves my top 5 games plus 20-question profile. Insert newest game I enjoyed and want more games like. Pick top 3 recommended and check them out on PSN 5 minutes and I’m playing again

Funny thing is I was planning on this sort of thing because once the database is up, each game page will link to similar games and will also have a link to its amazon store page with an affiliate link for us or some equivalent.

This gonna be a buried feature people have to click to a games page to see, though, or an IN YOUR FACE and INSTANT ACCESS recommendation system people can bookmark and jump straight into? PSN already recommends similar products on game pages. Why use another site for the same?
