You know it's really dumb that developers and publishers send really exclusive, limited stuff to youtubers in the hopes they'll cover the game more and -- lol, they don't. They'll just do an unboxing video to gloat, a video review of sorts, and that's it.

It shows how the publishers have no idea show to get the word out and how deeply unsatisfied they are with the corrupt games press. They’ll throw hundreds of dollars at each YouTuber helping for one big break and victory through attrition. Could be a niche opportunity here.

Wonder how a YouTube channel called SHOULD I BUY IT? would do by showcasing new games like they used to in old games magazines and giving a suggestion on the types of audiences who will love it. Sort of a video version of Amazon’s “If you loved X....”

Direct buy-in for publishers there if you could build the SIBI brand into a trustworthy recommendation source for people looking for “More like X”

Would help newer gamers too who play a handful of one genre but don’t know how to distinguish new games exactly in that genre. Like Netflix’s “what to watch next”. I look for this when I finish a game I like and want more just like it. “What’s similar?”

You’d corner the market on games recommendations. That’s not something anyone really does well that I’ve ever run across. Become KNOWN for pairing gamers with the genres they love. Make that your THING. Publishers would ADORE you.

We're hoping to start building this kind of thing once we roll our game database out. Every game from every console generation plus users being able to "add" games to their "library" to help keep track of what they own + what they want. Comprehensive enthusiast coverage to match

Sure. But don’t just make that a FEATURE. MAKE THAT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. Makes games pairing and finding your next game the MEAT of it. “WHAT TO PLAY NEXT”

Go dominate that market, man. Publishers are begging for it. So are customers. Give them what others won’t.

Gotta keep at it bro! Trying to rebuild enthusiast press. Enthusiast coverage and just lots of great game recommendations. No BS, just fun and worthwhile games, not only whatever is hot that month lol.
