...there are self-isolation laws in the Bible for sick people. The concept of protecting the community by putting the needs of the many before the needs of the individual are also there. Also it is not the place of worship that counts but the worship of the heart.

I am not going to tell Christians what to do, but for me it does not seem very wise to insist on going to church in person in a pandemic when we live in the 21st century and many churches now can stream their sermons.

The self-restraint on the church administration of sacraments would be easier to uphold if both the left-wing churches and te secular leaders had not been so gung ho for the BLM and women’s marches packing many thousands in the streets in the midst of lonely suffering.

In other words, what is often contentious is not the issue of safety or the wisdom of isolation, but rather the credibility of many “leaders” that command the church to close.
