It's not just that. A lot of teachers don't understand the differences between boys and girls. And get the boys on mood stabilizers and crap because they're "disruptive ". Yes, the junk food plays a role, but boys generally are more active.

This is exactly what a friend of mine ran into. They wanted his son on ADHD drugs, he went in to observe the class and half the boys were drugged up. His son was no rowdier than a normal kid.

The cereal isle has been growing increasingly bizarre. There is dunkin' donuts cereal, pop tarts cereal, sour patch kids, ice cream, it goes on. Honestly I don't think these are being marketed to kids, these are for adults.

The crazy amounts of sugar paired with the amount of time most parents just hand a tablet or phone to their child? Has them on a roller coaster of highs and crashes with sugar while linked to a dopamine machine adults can barely kick. No wonder some are a neurotic mess.

I got put on Methylphenidate in 6th grade. No exam or tests, my dad just told our family Dr that my teacher recommended it and boom! Drugs. I felt like I was trapped in my own brain for the next few years. They kept me on it even though my grades got worse.

I met him while he was on Concerta and he was an entirely different person back then. While that was the person I fell in love with I'd never go back, he was evident he was struggling because of the medication.
