My 4yo son has learned to disable every single anti-toddler door knob blocker. We bought the most complicated ones and he cracked them in minutes. We string bells over his door from the outside and he’s learned to neutralize them. Now we use an electric motion sensor. For now.

My kid hates vacuums. We use to put the vacuum on the other side of the gate so he wouldn't climb over/take it down. Worked like a charm.

Most motion detectors use infrared to detect significant changes in the surrounding room's temp. Normally, walking around in a room would set off these sensors, but using something as simple as a piece of styrofoam to shield your body can trick them... google search, pretty easy
