"(the cat) was my son...my best friend". That is a f*cked up thrupple.

Little bit. Makes sense when you realize she’s a murderess without regard for her husband’s wellbeing.

There's no telling what else she'd do behind his back. The cat is the least of his worries. I was frustrated with my husband's elderly dogs many times but I would never have done something like that.

He's the 26-year old, not the cat. He said he had the cat since he was in high school, putting it in the 10-15-year old range (probably).

What do you mean "it's a cat"?

People need to put his love for his cat aside and consider the bare facts. He made a decision with money he had set aside for this very reason. She pretended to listen. She went against him, lied and used emergency funds to buy an extra car. That is what narcissists do.

My father's first wife did this in 1961. He had a German Shepard named Blitz and she insisted putting him put to sleep over a hip limp. She said "either the dog goes, or I go." He went along with it because of their son, but he never got over it. They eventually divorced.

Yeah, I think 8k is way more than I want to spend on any pet in one go, but he had the money and that's what he wanted to spend it on. She should have respected that.
