I work mental health with department of corrections clients. The number of cases I’ve seen where men acted to protect their children or loved ones and were charged with felonies, served time, put on lengthy probation, and unable to find work or housing b/c felony is brutal.

People say “Why aren’t these men doing anything!” But they’ve been punished since birth for acting upon their innate honor code. 14 years of public school with mostly female teachers scolding them for every minor infraction legalism. Single moms and/or emasculated dads.

Until their shackles are removed, the heroic men can never come back to restore our society to the way it should be. But change is coming.
