I need to research for an upcoming book, so I’m playing Bloodborne, which is of course a Dark Souls clone. I died about 4-5 times learning the mechanics and never died again, even against a boss. Is this game really as hard as people claim? Is Dark Souls harder than this?
I did play it more aggressively than I usually tend to. They put a warning at the beginning that shields can inspire passivity and I figured I should just go berserk if that’s what they wanted. Dark souls seems a lot more rewarding of caution.

Bloodborne is like “KILL OR BE KILLED, BRO”

I also like to do crazy things with those games, like figuring out how to run across the levels without fighting anyone. There are some points (like before the second boss) where you have to run across half the level even with shortcuts open.
