I started writing my first book for a small publishing company, a fantasy novel set in their personal setting. Little did I realize they’d try to get me blacklisted from my day job for being Christian. The author world is cutthroat and disturbed. Let this thread be a warning 1/

Honestly some of the same reasons I got out of finance. Lunatics having a stranglehold on who I can help. Left, suffered, succeeded in starting my own business. Now I run sourcing, manufacturing, and investing, in even small start up ecom brands. I help them decouple too

Thanks. Didn’t get targeted like you did, I was running a department at the time, but HR had a long standing mission to find a way to get rid of me. Rewarding now I get to lower the barrier of entry of others wanting their own business so they don’t have to deal with that either.

In a way glad they pushed you out, you’re constantly publishing. Your pace is inspirational and now people looking for fiction with their beliefs have a much larger selection than if you stayed

Definitely true. You and I are both doing good work now we couldn’t do before.
