Shortly after my wife and I converted to Catholicism, we celebrated our 10 year marriage anniversary with a renewal of vows in the Church by a priest. He told us marriage and parenthood are sacred vocations like a domestic priesthood and just as urgent. I’ve never forgotten that.

Why convert to Catholicism with over 30 years of pedophile priests and abusing children? They hid the abuse as well!

When you see someone vandalizing the sacred temple, you don’t just run away and abandon it.

2/ Not attacking. Seriously asking. I have considered Catholicism, but there is just too much baggage for me.

The question is not what other Catholics are doing. The question is, is this the church founded by Christ and given the keys to the kingdom? For me, through my research, that answer was yes. So it doesn’t matter what other Catholics may be doing. Where I’m called, I go.

That’s fair. What research did you do, if you don’t mind me asking?

Research on early church practices compared to present, keys to the kingdom doctrine, Eucharist justification as real body and transubstantiation, to start.
