I am not Catholic, but John is. I was really impressed when I found out that marriage and parenthood was a vocation.

I am a Lutheran with Eastern Orthodox leanings and I heartily say, "Amen!" Husband and wife are a reflection of Christ and Church, where parents and child are a reflection of the Father and Son. We evangelize by having babies and teaching them the faith.

I'm not Catholic but I was struck by this idea reading an excerpt written in the early 20th century by a Catholic Priest which stated the exact thing. It completely changed my views on the matter.

@DaFizzySquirrel and I are seriously considering converting still after a really not so great experience with one of our local parishes. One thing I’ve always loved about Catholicism is it actually upholds the importance of marriage and parenthood.
-
I had a nightmare experience with a horrific priest years ago that delayed my conversion by ten years. I wish I’d done it anyway.

Why convert to Catholicism with over 30 years of pedophile priests and abusing children? They hid the abuse as well!
