Also the basis for adhering to the Ten Commandments, though.

Correct. The glory of God is always the greater good. Much fuss has been made about how “greater good” thinking is always evil, but this is in light of atheistic moral relativism which teaches there is no objective good.

Yes exactly. When used by politicians and the like, the glory of God is void in the statement.

Obedience to God is the test of whether or not the greater good is actually good. A government can claim to be working toward the greater good and actually be truthful if their work is in line with the spirit of the Lord’s Commandments. Selfish rulers are the issue.

This is why rulers must actually love the people they rule and do what is truly best for them. Modern moral relativism tells us no ruler will ever truly love the people under their care, but this is nihilistic despair hammered into us by the same moral relativists.

Agreed! History gives evidence to leaders who loved their people and did what was best for them. It’s so important that we pray for our leaders as well. The hand of the Lord can move the hearts of men.
