It’s true. Modern man sees a challenge and his first thought is to tally what might be lost if he engages with honor. I myself am guilty of this in spades, I was raised to be a coward. Modern men must rely on our friends to correct us when we are wrong. May my friends advise me.

I would be no man at all if not for good men advising me when I have been weak and showing me the better way. What good is in me is owed to better men being patient with what is weak in me.

I second this. Its extremely difficult to discern who's actually got your back when the chips fall, especially now. Any man that will not "call out" your bullshit but claims to be your friend a man that only seeks to placate you for the inevitable event they need something.

God knows I’ve been a piss-poor friend to many. But I hope my friends will help me be a better one. I need it.
