32 years as a Protestant in California megachurches, concerted 2 years ago into a Catholic in a tiny rural Wisconsin parish.

What bothers me most about the Catholic church is they things that the Bible says not to do. Like the Bible says the only way to the Father is through the son, yet Catholics pray to saints. Why would they think those prayers will be heard? Why believe things not from the Bible?

A lot of people are confused about the saints. This is an excellent and thorough resource to explain what’s taking place.https://www.catholic.com/tract/praying-to-the-saints …

I disagree with the article entirely, and I have Biblical verses to back up my argument, if you wish to discuss you are welcome to PM me. The Bible clearly says not to speak to mediums, which, trying to speak with dead saints would in its self be an act of a medium.

It's different asking a friend to pray for for because their prayer would be to go through Jesus and then to God. The only way to the Father is through the son. We aren't to be mediams trying to speak to the dead. I would even think that's sinful because of what the Bible says

This makes no sense. How do mediums speak to dead people if they are dead? I thought all Christians believed in eternal life. Maybe that's the difference? Catholics do believe in eternal life.

There’s a difference between those asleep in the hope of Christ and those serving in Heaven before the final judgment. It has always been taught that some ascend to Christ’s side to serve Him with prayers as shown in Revelation.
