The best 1-star review I ever received was an unverified purchase for a Kindle version where the reader complained that I used 4-syllable words. The best 2-star review I ever got was a reviewer complaining I fleshed out the setting with too much world detail. Same book.

I love one-star reviews. Not even kidding.

It’s like free authenticity on the review charts as you lose a hair of a star and people say “Wow I can trust this review score now because it’s not unanimous!” They’re also just so obvious. I can point at who on social media is responsible for each fake review and pray for them
