There’s got to be a middle ground between “If you don’t wear a mask you’re already a murderer” and “Wearing a mask means you love fascism”. Folks need to cool it on this bizarre crusade to make people stop wearing masks. Let folks follow their conscience to protect their family.

If me wearing a mask to protect my newborn baby from a mysterious virus as I go about my daily life offends you, the unfollow button is right there. You do you.
I can’t sort out the hysteria on either side to tell how bad this thing is, so I mask up to protect my kids. Deal.3 replies 1 retweet 15 likesShow this thread -
To me, wearing a mask is no different from carrying a concealed firearm. You don’t know what’s out there or how bad things might get so you come prepared to defend the people you love. People crusading to stop others from wearing masks need to ask why they need to control folks.

If you don’t like the hysteria around the virus, cool. I get that. The media has everyone panicked. Talk about that, by all means. Whining because you saw someone wearing a mask makes you look like a deranged asshole preventing people from doing what makes them feel safe.

You frankly sound just as crazy as the people insisting no one on earth needs to carry a gun and crusading to take away their choice to protect themselves. I’m keeping track of the people who panicked about this whole thing, but I’ll also remember who went insane the other way.

Study the San Francisco Spanish flu outbreak and you find the same deranged lunatics howling about mandatory masks being a problem. They stopped wearing them and the second wave was much worse. Absolute freedom is a false god. Some laws are about protecting your neighbor.
