I’m very confused by his “I feel like my trust has been broken” comment. I mean...who is walking around with “I trust you not to be keeping a spreadsheet about me” to be broken in the first place?!

I have had clients experience this. It’s typically the jarring experience of realizing you’re being thoroughly catalogued and ascribing malicious intent, perhaps due to years of exposure to mad scientist and dystopian fiction.

Sounds like she's making the best of things. Is it weird, yes. But its working.

I agree. He should ask her to walk him through the analytics. Big question is whether it is an honest record. Also, he really ought not to have looked without asking.

Sounds like a considerate girlfriend. Was it the use of spreadsheets in general or the use of them to track important information about her relationship in particular that led to the autism diagnosis?

To me it reads like someone trying to get a handle on the level of satisfaction, compatibility, and engagement in the relationship but they lack intuitive means of gauging it so they document thoroughly to identify trends and note specifics. Looks to me like she’s very committed.
