I feel genuinely sorry for non-Catholic Christians because their Bibles don’t include the stories about war elephants. My wife and I have been reading through Maccabees with popcorn handy.

I know the Maccabees and other books not available in our traditional bible, although am a non-Catholic. But are these books inspired?

They were accepted by all Christians from 367 to 1534, and the person who removed them also personally denied Revelation as canon.
