It's become plain over the years that Lucas is less of a core mastermind than he was originally touted as. Reboot with just the original trilogy and adapt the EU via CG, targeting at least an hour of new content monthly for a balance of quality vs. quantity.

Yes, I think he planted some great seeds, but isn't the best gardener. Mostly, I'd like to see the IP escape Disney, as their people have done it dirty. I'm pretty sure anyone in Hollyweird would be bad, too, which is why I thought of those authors. Stackpole would be good too.

There's enough material there to keep a series going for a decade or more. With CG you have less concern with your actors aging out. That's one of the huge problems of comic book movie franchises or similar.

Agreed. I'm trained to make CG movies, at that, and I'd dive in and do some proof of concept stuff if I didn't think that it would be a massive waste of time. Too many vulture lawyers around.
