I dont see a comment option on android mobile. I wanted to ask how to deal with sentence structure if English is second language. My noun verb use is misused because in some deep part of my brain my language is Spanish.

Literally the main criticism I got in creative writing at school was long sentences - I did not stop writing long, stream of consciousness style stuff but it really did make me critical of my own long sentenced writing for no reason other than getting marked down for it as a kid.

I feel that. Grew up reading older work and composing in longhand. Sentences just tend longer that way!

Lee Child takes brevity to a new level. His Jack Reacher novels are chopped up into terse utterances. Many of his 'sentences' don't even qualify as sentences, technically speaking, because they don't contain a verb. It reflects the consciousness of the taciturn hero, Reacher.
