Gumroad barely charges anything and inspires a lot more confidence because it’s a big selling platform instead of “Give me your personal info.”

Most folks do. It’s not at Amazon level yet, but the customer base is pretty engaged.

For a book, yes. Especially fiction. For an ebook guide I still recommend Gumroad.
