Thread: So a lot has happened today that was completely out of my comfort zone. First, I sent a text to all my co-workers asking them to join me for prayer around the altar before we left campus for the weekend. I took 2 of my children with me to pray.

Only 2 co-workers joined us but where 2 or more gather in his name He is there also. Typically I do not pray out loud around others but I did today. We prayed together and I loved that my children could be a part of that.

The second thing that was out of my comfort zone was trying to teach math lessons over Instagram. I've only had it a short time and still haven't figured it out all the way. It's not easy teaching scientific notation without a whiteboard and markers.

Maybe during my prayers earlier today I should have prayed for teaching over social media skills

I guess I know what needs to be added to my prayer list tonight.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likesShow this thread -

If I may offer a humble suggestion, I pray that God will glorify Himself in whatever the task is. I don’t ask for specific directions for it to go, but that He be entirely glorified in it. And He’s never, ever let me down. Usually blows me away at the sudden ease and impact.

You are right God never lets His people down. Years ago I gave Him control of my life and He led me down the path that brought me to where I'm at today. I thank Him daily for that.

Solid. I just mean, with specific tasks. “Glorify Yourself in this book I’m writing” or this course or this conversation. Investing in the individuals involved instead of in a specific outcome. If you’re praying for your teaching, that’s what I’d do.

I understand where you're coming from. I will definitely do that. I try hard everyday to bring glory and honor to Him & His name but I know I still have areas that I fail in. That's why I appreciate people that can help guide me such as you & your wife and of course my hubby.

Much easier when He kicks in the door and glorifies Himself despite my fumbles.

I love it when He uses my children to remind me of all the little things He has done for us. My youngest loves going around looking at things and saying it's because Jesus loves us He gave this to us.
