The problem with writing dramatic hero dialogue is that eventually you use up all the creative lines and end up with leftovers like, “Vile deceiver, I shall stretch the woolen sock of justice over the cold toes of your iniquity!”

Probably because West's characters are pretty much the "grunt, stab" type. No time for repartee or witty riposte when ambushed by barbaric rapscallions.
