When I’m anxious about a situation, I think of the worst moments in my life. I’ve been treated for multiple-event PTSD so I’ve got a few to pick from. I saturate myself in that moment and remember the horror and agony. Then I ask how this new situation compares. Anxiety gone.

Vengeance belongs to the Lord. It is our task to pray for our enemies. Some days are easier than others.

It's like that scene in Steven Universe where Blue diamon (who has sadness powers - yes seriously) tries to overwhelm the heroes and one of them (who is hinted at having anxiety/depression/ptsd) goes like "Eh, I felt worse" and proceeds to kick ass and save the day.
