The red pill as a concept is basic evolutionary psychology applied to mate selection and retention. The red pill as a quasi-religion is extreme behaviorism which removes human agency to portray mindless animals. There’s a reason CBT is more complete than pure behaviorism.

Male depression is tricky. A lot of CBT practitioners are infected with humanism and focus on “feeling good”. Male depression tends to be about perceived powerlessness and lack of control over one’s environment, pain, or mission.

Positive self-talk helps. But, I tried it earlier on, and it wouldn’t consistently take. What has helped me is diet and exercise, and this has done so much to remove (or at least reduce) ‘why I felt bad all the time.’ 1/

One I saw positive changes, the positive self-talk got easier, because I was able to see (and exert) some control over my surroundings and situation.
